HOW TO CONTRIBUTE TO INICIATIVA COLECTIVA
A monthly call for Submissions is always being distributed to Artists, Designers, Illustrators, Photographers, Sculptors, Creatives, etc.
Iniciativa Colectiva magazine is exclusively made out of contributions. You show your talent and we showcase it the best way possible. If you want to see your works published in Iniciativa Colectiva there are 2 rules the contributor must follow.
SUBMISSION RULES
1. Project must be atemporal.
2. Handing in a project does not necesary mean that it will be published... many projects do not get published but they are always taken in consideration for future issues... if you do not get published inmediately... you cannot get mad with us... BAD KARMA is strictly OUT OF THE QUESTION.
3. Designs must be contestants' original work and must not contain any third-party logos, trademarks or copyright material. Do NOT place credits on artwork. We will credit you accordingly.
If you agree on the 3 rules... you just become an IC contributor for life. Prepare a maximum of 8 single pages or 4 double page project or any mix of single and double. Send as many projects as you want. All projects will be reviewed to be part of any of the next issues. IC is an international magazine that works exclusively with images. Topic is always up to you.
CREDITS
If you want to get recognized for your talent and hard work, always, always include the following information with any correspondence you send to IC:
1. Artist Name
2. E-mail
3. Artist's website
4. Title of Work
5. Country of Origin
IMPORTANT: Do NOT place any credits in the artwork
The credits are to be placed in the magazine index. send credits in a TXT file. All material submited will remain indefinitely at the IC archives.
SELECTION PROCESS
All artworks submited go through a selection board to be part of one of the next IC issues. Only the works that are submitted following the instructions displayed will enter the selection process. Please make sure you send your works including everything is requested and following the specs described in the next chapter.
If your works are selected to be part of one of next IC issue we will send you an email letting you know you made the cut!
Also you may download the magazine online for as long as you wish, they are always available to you and to anyone you wish to show your work to.
SPECS
All entries should be submitted as follows:
Single page:
7 inches x 9 inches (.125 bleed if necessary)
178mm x 229mm (3mm bleed if necessary)
Double page spread:
14 inces x 9 inches (.125 bleed if necessary)
356mm x 29mm (3mm bleed if necessary)
Artworks must be submmitted by email to submissions@iniciativacolectiva.com by the following set deadlines:
Dec 20 for the JANUARY ISSUE
Feb 20 for the MARCH ISSUE
April 20 for the MAY ISSUE
June 20 for the JULY ISSUE
August 20 for the SEPTEMBER ISSUE
October 20 for the NOVEMBER ISSUE
Don't forget you MUST include the following information with your submissions for proper credit:
1. Artist Name
2. E-mail
3. Artist's website
4. Country of Origin
5. Titles of Work
6. Medium
All entries should be Hi-RES 300 dpi flattened JPG files.
IC is published bi-monthly as an online publication in PDF format.

CONSENT TO PUBLISH
you must also include a signed printed copy of the following "CONSENT TO PUBLISH" text including all your data. This document allows IC to publishe the artwork you send and also safekeeps both editor and artists rights.
I, _______________________________________________(Legal Name - Please Print), give my consent to Iniciativa Colectiva Online Magazine/Chixink Media Services to publish the accompanying piece(s) of artwork created by me and produced on __________________(date) to appear in the magazine at the publisher’s discretion. In addition, I testify that this work is created by me personally and is original in its form and content.
Iniciativa Colectiva Magazine/Chixink Media Services reserves the right to use any submissions for all applicable future promotions or to reprint submissions in any subsequent issues of the magazine, unless otherwise noted and agreed to by both parties. Iniciativa Colectiva/Chixink Media Services will not (re)publish, reassign, etc., without knowledge and consent from the artist.
Upon publication (web, unless otherwise noted) all rights revert back to the artist. It is the sole responsibility of the artist to monitor their work’s usage outside the confines of this publication, and Iniciativa Colectiva’s website. Likewise, no compensation form Iniciativa Colectiva/Chixink Media Services, its representatives or affiliations is sought outside of “exposure” and personal gratification resulting from the publication of my work.
I understand that I will be contacted prior to publication and am free to solicit this material elsewhere until that time knowing that in doing so, it may affect the decision by Iniciativa Colectiva/Chixink Media Services to publish this particular work. I understand that I will receive a link of the actual publication (in PDF format) that the submission first appears in within two (2) weeks of its release date.

GRANT OF RIGHTS
The undersigned hereby grants to CHIXINK MEDIA SERVICES publisher of INICIATIVA COLECTIVA MAGAZINE (IC) the right to reproduce the work identified above in any of its forth-coming issues, in all editions, revisions, and reprintings of the issues; in promotional materials thereto; and in all media which makes IC available in visual form for reading; and as a contribution to other collected works in all such media. The below signed hereby confirms that (1) the information attached hereto is correct, (2) the below signed is either the sole owner of all rights to the work (and to any and all photographs, samples, and transparencies of the work being submitted) or has been authorized by the owner(s) of such rights to grant the rights herein granted, and (3) the publication of the work will not violate the rights of any third party.
The below signed agrees that (1) the below signed will not receive any direct financial compensation from CHIXINK MEDIA SERVICES for granting these rights herein, (2) the below signed shall not hold CHIXINK MEDIA SERVICES responsible for the safekeeping of any materials in CHIXINK MEDIA SERVICES possession, and (3) CHIXINK MEDIA SERVICES is entitled to rely for permission on a facsimile of this original.
